Last chance on RR Auction’s Olympic Medals lot sale
This January, RR Auction is holding one of its most impressive events to date. The Olympic Winner’s Medals auction concludes on January 18 and is probably one of the most extensive lot sales of its kind. The featured items are highly valuable, it not even extremely rare, which is why anyone interested should check out the online catalogue and view the stars of this collection. One of the items included in the auction is a Lake Placid Winter Olympics Torch, estimated at over $30,000. This is, without a doubt, one of the rarest items in the entire collection. It is made of bronze colored leather and metal, measuring 8.5 inches in width (at its widest point) and 28.5 inches in length. The torch was designed by Don McFarland and manufactured by Cleanweld Turner. While the torch has quite a modern design, it surely includes elements that somehow evoke ancient Greece.
